Nav Collective LLC, doing business as Konek, is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy explains what Konek collects, why we use it, who processes it, and the choices available to you when you use our website or mobile app.
What we collect
- Account details such as email address, optional name, language, and authentication records.
- Orders, receipts, refunds, referral attribution, and Konek Credit ledger entries. Stripe handles card details; Konek does not store full card numbers.
- eSIM fulfillment information such as plan, activation status, ICCID, install code, and data-usage totals reported by the network supplier.
- Trips, preferences, saved content, and messages you choose to provide.
- If you add Konek Talk + Text: the Konek phone number assigned to you, call records (who called whom, when, how long, and whether it connected), the content of text messages sent and received on that number, voicemail recordings and any transcript, and the network events our telecom provider reports for billing. This is communications data and we treat it as the most sensitive information we hold.
- Security and operational information such as IP address, request time, device/browser type, and error diagnostics.
- Anonymous product analytics only after you enable that setting in the mobile app. Session replay and advertising tracking are disabled.
What we never collect
- Card numbers — payment runs entirely on Stripe.
- The contents of your traffic. We sell connectivity; what you do with it is yours.
- Precise GPS location, photos, or advertising identifiers.
- Your device address book. Talk + Text works entirely from numbers you type; we never upload your contacts.
- Phone numbers, message content, or voicemail transcripts in analytics. Product analytics receive identifiers and coarse categories only.
Talk + Text calls and texts travel over the ordinary phone network, which means they are not end-to-end encrypted and cannot be. Anyone telling you otherwise about a service that reaches a normal phone number is wrong. Treat a Konek call or text with the same care as any other phone call or SMS.
Text messaging and your mobile information
Konek Talk + Text gives you a phone number. The texts sent from it are written by you, to people you choose. Konek does not send you marketing texts and does not text anyone on your behalf. The only messages Konek itself sends are the carrier-required automatic replies described below.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, your consent to be contacted, or any opt-in information with third parties for their own marketing, and we never will. Your number reaches only the providers that carry the message — Telnyx and the mobile carriers on the receiving end — because a text cannot arrive at a phone otherwise.
Anyone who receives a text from a Konek number can reply STOP to stop receiving messages from that number, START to resume, and HELP to learn who is texting them and how to reach us. We honor those replies automatically, and we handle them the same way whether the message came from you or from us. Message frequency depends entirely on how you use your number. Message and data rates may apply, and any charges from your own mobile carrier are between you and that carrier.
How and why we use information
- To create and secure your account, process payment, provision an eSIM, show usage, provide support, and honor refunds—the service you ask us to perform.
- To prevent fraud, enforce purchase limits, keep financial records, and comply with tax, payment, and legal obligations.
- To send transaction and service messages. Optional lifecycle email preferences can be changed from your account or the link in the message.
- To improve reliability and product decisions where you consent to anonymous analytics.
Who processes it
Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and login), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), our eSIM network supplier (provisioning and usage totals), Telnyx (phone numbers, calling, messaging, and voicemail for Talk + Text, which also means the carriers that carry each call and message), Sentry (error reporting), PostHog (consent-based anonymous analytics), and travel-data providers used for weather, currency, or flight results. Each receives only the information needed for its role. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and international processing
We keep account and service information while your account is active and as needed to provide purchased plans. Security logs and diagnostics are kept only as long as reasonably needed to investigate reliability or abuse. Talk + Text records are kept while your Konek number is active and for a limited period afterwards so we can answer billing and support questions; voicemail audio is stored with our telecom provider and is only ever streamed back to you through an authenticated Konek request, never a public link. Deleting a voicemail hides it from your list immediately. When you delete your account, profile and travel data are removed and past financial transactions are anonymized; limited records may be retained where tax, accounting, fraud, or chargeback law requires it. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries using contractual and legal safeguards appropriate to their services.
Your choices
You can delete your account yourself at any time from Delete your account. It removes your profile, eSIM history, preferences, and unused credit right away. Past purchases stay in our books with your name and email stripped out, because tax and card-dispute rules require us to keep the transaction itself.
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. You can disable mobile analytics from Profile at any time. To exercise a privacy right, contact us from the email on your account. We may verify the request before acting. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security and children
We use access controls, encrypted transport, restricted server secrets, and payment and database providers designed for production services. No system is perfectly secure, so keep activation codes private and report suspected unauthorized access. Konek is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Konek changes. The updated date above identifies the current version, and we will provide additional notice for material changes when required. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through Contact.
